Did you know Charlie Rangel is retiring? Career politicians have held us hostage for far too long. For many of us, serious problems persist. Housing is too expensive, our public schools are starved for resources, our supermarkets are under-stocked and over-priced. We and our children deserve more. It’s time for a changing of the guard. Mike Gallagher wants to work for all of us. He’s not beholden to special interests in Albany or Washington, he owes no favors, and he’s not looking for career advancement. Gallagher is a member of our community. Determined, tireless, and smart. A stay-at-home dad of four kids. Mike is the only alternative to politics as usual.
I hope you’ll join me at the next candidate forum Wednesday, May 11th from 6 to 8 pm at the Johnson Community Center, 1833 Lexington Ave at 114th St. We’ll be discussing public housing issues with representatives from NYCHA’s development council. Given all that’s lacking in affordable housing, it should be a lively debate.
