The Supremes ruled the law means what it intended despite a small number of inartful inconsistencies in language. The textual argument presented by the opposition failed to impress anyone but the wizard Scalia, who was countered pointedly numerous times in the footnotes section of Justice Roberts’ majority opinion.
Now the Republican opposition must fight for repeal, according to the blatherers at the Weekly Standard. Repeal is a dead-end but haters gonna hate. Despite evidence to the contrary, the Republicans insist Obamacare is a train wreck. The percentage of uninsured is down (“lowest since Gallup and Healthways began tracking it in 2008”), costs have risen much less than predicted (lowest on record), and doctors who feel it has caused them problems are in a distinct minority.
